Fix Errors

One of the worst things to happen to any computer is to get a virus or spyware that destroys important files on your computer. They can turn your expensive, state of the art computer into a rather expensive paperweight. Commonly, the important files lost to the ravages of a virus, spyware or trojan are the DLLs. If you want to recover your computer, then you'll be fixing DLL errors.

Just what are DLLs? They are dynamic linked libraries and make up the bulk of the files needed to keep Windows running correctly. Errors in even one DLL can make the difference between your computer running well and not running at all. This is why fixing DLL errors is so important in keeping your computer running well. Luckily, most DLL errors are easy to fix.

Fixing DLL errors is usually a systematic approach. You start off with the easiest solutions and then move to the more in-depth solutions. It's important to follow in a sequence since each fix puts some increased risk on the stability of your system. Of course, all of these solutions are based on the fact that you can boot up your computer. If you are having problems booting up your computer, then you should try booting up into safe mode. You can boot up into safe mode by pressing F8 repeatedly as your computer begins to boot up. You'll be presented with a menu that allows you to boot up into safe mode.

Once your computer is booted up to the Windows Desktop you can prepare to fix DLL errors. First off, you need to run a full virus scan and quarantine the files that are affected. It's important to run the virus scan before attempting any repair because if not, you might find yourself right back where you started from just a few minutes later. It's also a good idea to run a spyware scan as well. You should take note of any virus or spyware found and do an internet search on the names to see if they are any specific ways to handle the removal of the viruses or spyware. After running the scans and quarantining the affected files, you should do a fresh reboot.

Upon reboot, you are ready to start fixing DLL errors. If just a single program is being affected, the easiest way to tackle the error is to simply reinstall the program. Many programs now have a repair option in their install programs so use them and once repaired, your problems may go away entirely.

If more than one program is being affected than it's a good idea to run system restore. System restore can fix many errors by replacing the corrupted or missing files with a good copy. Just remember to use a clean backup from one that took place before you had the DLL error. If a system restore will not solve the problem then you should do an internet search to find any possible solutions. In some cases, you may have to copy over the missing DLL files from another computer, but in the end, you'll be rid of your DLL errors.

Once your computer is back up and running, you should take extra precautions to ensure that the problem doesn't repeat itself. With the right kind of tools, you can ensure that your computer is running great all the time.
